Luis Enrique hits out at English media

Barcelona boss Luis Enrique hits out at the English media for launching a campaign against Luis Suarez over alleged bite attempts on Manchester City's Martin Demichelis.

Barcelona boss Luis Enrique has hit out at the English media for launching a campaign against Luis Suarez, after the striker was accused of attempting to bite Martin Demichelis.

The incident occurred in Barca's 2-1 win over Manchester City in the Champions League, after Demichelis had put his hand near Suarez's throat.

The Uruguayan recently criticised the British press for trying to 'cause trouble' and his manager has stood by him.

"Unfortunately it's something normal in some parts of the world to have these sort of campaigns against somebody," Enrique said, according to Goal.com.

"Suarez already knows he will always be watched, even he has said many times that he made a mistake.

"We have seen this kind of campaigns against players, president, supporters."

Suarez has previously been banned three times in his career for biting, with his last punishment lasting more than four months after he bit Italy's Giorgio Chiellini during the World Cup last year.
