Manchester City's Kevin De Bruyne: 'It's too early to talk about winning title'

Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne says that it is "too early" in the season for the team to think about winning the Premier League crown.

Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne has insisted that he and his teammates are keeping their feet firmly on the ground, despite a positive start to the season.

Pep Guardiola's side currently reside at the top of the rankings as a result of winning six and drawing one of their seven Premier League fixtures.

The club share the same points as local rivals Manchester United, but a better goal difference puts them ahead of the red half of the city.

De Bruyne strengthened City's position at the top when he scored the one and only goal in Saturday's victory over his former club Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

The 26-year-old is now on international duty with Belgium, but admits that the break will hamper City's momentum.

"We are playing very well at the moment and it would have been better to just keep going and be in the same rhythm," De Bruyne told Sky Sports News. "When we come back we just have to try to get that winning mentality again.

"My first year [at City] I had an injury that put me out for three months, then last year I changed position and didn't have any goals and assists and a lot of people look at the stats. It's too early to talk about winning this year. There are still 31 games to go!"

The North-West outfit have scored 22 league goals already this season.
