Pep Guardiola has revealed that left-back Oleksandr Zinchenko will play for Manchester City in their FA Cup fifth-round tie against Peterborough United on Tuesday.
The 25-year-old Ukraine international has previously been described by his manager as "incredibly strong" during these distressing times which have seen Russia invade his homeland.
Zinchenko has been training with the first team and was part of City's matchday squad for the 1-0 win against Everton at Goodison Park last weekend.
When questioned by reporters about Zinchenko availability in his pre-match press conference on Monday, Guardiola said: "Yeah [he will feature]. I think it will be good for him to play and show the reason why he's here."
Guardiola also revealed that some of his players have picked up knocks in training ahead of their clash with Peterborough, while goalkeeper Zack Steffen remains sidelined as he continues to recover from a shoulder problem.
"Some knocks but today everyone trains. [Steffen] not yet, still in the gym, had a problem with his shoulder which is difficult for goalkeepers. We will decide the goalkeeper tomorrow," Guardiola added.
Man City will be looking to reach the quarter-finals of the FA Cup for the fourth successive season with a win at London Road tomorrow.
