Manchester City team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Newcastle United

Sports Mole rounds up all of Manchester City's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Friday's Premier League clash with Newcastle United.

Manchester City are preparing for their meeting with Newcastle United hoping to have wrapped up the Premier League title by Friday night.

While City can win the top-flight crown with victory in the North East, defeat for Manchester United against Leicester City or Liverpool will see Pep Guardiola and his squad celebrate before facing the Magpies.

However, the Spaniard will want to see a much-improved performance after City lost out to fellow Champions League finalists Chelsea at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Man City's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their 36th league fixture of the season.

Kevin De Bruyne

Status: Out
Type of injury: Muscle
Possible return date: Unknown

Guardiola opted to protect De Bruyne at the weekend with the playmaker said to be suffering from muscle fatigue. While the Belgian is said to be recovering from the issue, Friday's game comes too soon for his return.

MAN CITY'S SUSPENSION LIST

With John Stones having served his three-match ban, City have no suspension issues ahead of this contest.
