Sergio Aguero record vs. Crystal Palace

Ahead of Manchester City's meeting with Crystal Palace this weekend, Sports Mole looks at Sergio Aguero's overall record against the Eagles.

Manchester City have Sergio Aguero back in their squad for Saturday's home match against Crystal Palace, which could spell bad news for the visitors.

The Argentina international has been directly involved in five goals in his last four Premier League meetings with the Eagles, scoring three times and setting up two more.

Pep Guardiola must now decide whether to use Aguero from the off this weekend, with the striker only just returning from a couple of weeks out with a minor injury.

Here, Sports Mole looks at the 30-year-old's record against Palace in a little more depth.

Aguero may have proved a thorn in Palace's side in recent years, but his overall record against the Eagles is not as impressive as it may seem.

Two of those goals came in a 4-0 win in January 2016 and, that brace aside, he has found the net in just one other of his seven meetings with the South London outfit - all in the Premier League.

Aguero's most recent outing proved to be the most frustrating of the lot, as he failed to find a way through once brought on for the injured Gabriel Jesus in last December's 0-0 draw.

The former Atletico Madrid ace also played a full part as Palace ran out 2-1 winners against City in April 2015 - a match that saw him hit the post from his best chance.
