Adel Taarabt: 'Mario Balotelli has grown up'

Adel Taarabt says that former AC Milan teammate Mario Balotelli will show at Liverpool that he has grown up.

Queens Park Rangers midfielder Adel Taarabt believes that former AC Milan teammate Mario Balotelli will demonstrate at Liverpool that he has grown up.

The 24-year-old striker is close to finalising a £16m switch to the Merseyside club.

Taarabt, who spent last season on loan with the Rossoneri, has backed Balotelli to be a success at Anfield.

"I think he is coming to show he has grown up and that he is mature now," Taarabt told The Sun.

"The team is young and, with someone like Steven Gerrard playing with him, he will get his head down and work hard. If they get 20 goals from Mario and 20 from Daniel Sturridge, they'll win the League."

Balotelli has also played for Inter Milan and Manchester City during his career.
