Raheem Sterling's contract discussions with Liverpool have reportedly stalled as the player holds out for a better salary.
The England international has more than two years left on his current deal at Anfield, but the 20-year-old has been repeatedly linked with a move to Real Madrid.
According to The Mirror, Sterling rejected a second offer from the Reds and the club may have to offer him up to £100,000 a week to secure his services for the long term.
There is no suggestion that Liverpool will be losing their prized asset any time soon and Sterling's camp have not given any signals to suggest that the forward is unhappy on Merseyside.
Sterling joined the Reds from Queens Park Rangers in 2010.
