Roma have announced that they have signed reported Liverpool target Seydou Keita on a free transfer.
The former Barcelona midfielder had spent the last five months with Valencia but was rumoured to have courted interest from the Premier League giants in recent days.
However, the 34-year-old has penned a one-year contract with the Giallorossi in a deal which will keep him in the Italian capital until next June.
Keita enjoyed a four-year spell with the Catalan giants from 2008 until 2012, winning La Liga on three occasions as well as two Champions League titles.
Earlier today, it was announced that Liverpool had struck a deal in principle for Bayer Leverkusen starlet Emre Can.
