Malaga sporting director Mario Husillos has denied that Mexican goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa has a deal in place to join Liverpool.
It was claimed on Tuesday that the Premier League outfit had agreed a £3m deal with Malaga for the transfer of the 29-year-old.
However, during a radio appearance on Cadena COPE, Husillos strongly denied that there had been any contact from Merseyside.
Ochoa joined Malaga in the summer off the back of a brilliant World Cup for Mexico, but the stopper has been forced to play second fiddle to Carlos Kameni thus far this season.
Liverpool are believed to be in the market for a new goalkeeper due to Simon Mignolet's poor form this season.
