Liverpool 'tell Loic Remy to lower wage demands'

Liverpool reportedly tell Loic Remy that they are unwilling to meet his wage demands.

Liverpool have reportedly told Queens Park Rangers striker Loic Remy that he must lower his wage demands if he wants to move to Anfield.

Reds boss Brendan Rodgers is happy to shell out £8m on the Frenchman but is unwilling to meet his wage demands, believed to be between £80,000 and £90,000 a week, according to The Mirror.

Remy is said to be one of several options that Rodgers is considering as the Anfield manager mulls over how to invest the £75m he inherited following Luis Suarez's move to Barcelona.

Liverpool have also been linked with a move for Swansea City forward Wilfried Bony, who is rated at around £19m.
