Liverpool allegedly have no intention of pursuing a deal for Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly during the next transfer window.
Despite Liverpool having being confirmed as Premier League champions, speculation persists that Jurgen Klopp is in the market for a new centre-back.
In recent months, the Merseyside giants have been linked with an approach for Koulibaly, who could be allowed to leave Napoli this summer.
However, according to Sky Sports News, Liverpool will not be making a bid for the Senegal international over the coming months.
A report last week indicated that Manchester City were prepared to pay as much as £72m for the 28-year-old.
Although their stance regarding the acquisition of a new centre-back could change, Liverpool officials have no intention of matching that fee.
