Liverpool have announced that they have cut short Nuri Sahin's loan deal at the Merseyside club.
The midfielder moved to Anfield from Real Madrid in August and originally planned to finish the season with the Premier League club but it has been confirmed that the Turkish international will finish the campaign elsewhere.
The club's official website has revealed that Sahin will spend the rest of the season on loan to Borussia Dortmund, which is where he began his senior career.
Sahin made 12 appearances for Liverpool and scored three goals.
