A Borussia Dortmund official tells Liverpool loanee Nuri Sahin that they are willing for him to make a return to the club.

Borussia Dortmund's director of sport Michael Zorc has admitted that the club would welcome back Nuri Sahin.

The Turkish international, who is currently on loan with Premier League side Liverpool, swapped Dortmund for Real Madrid in the summer of 2011.

However, the 24-year-old struggled with injuries during his first season at the Bernabeu and as a result linked up with Liverpool in August to gain some regular starting action.

Recent reports had suggested that Dortmund were keen for the midfielder to rejoin them and Zorc has now confirmed that they would look to make the deal happen, but only on their terms.

"We said to him [when he left], if Nuri says that he wants nothing other than to play in Dortmund, then we will deal with the issue," Zorc told Bild. "But it has got to be manageable, and nothing has changed in that regard."

Sahin made 152 appearances during his first stint with Dortmund.
