Jurgen Klopp doubts January business

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp admits that it is unlikely that his club will be busy in the January transfer window.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has admitted that it is unlikely that his club will be busy in the January transfer window.

The Reds signed Virgil van Dijk from Southampton in the 2018 winter transfer window for a fee believed to be in the region of £75m.

Klopp, however, doubts that the Merseyside outfit will be active in the market at the start of 2019.

"At the moment it doesn't look like we will be too busy but it all depends on injuries and things like that," Klopp told reporters.

"In the moment we have each position twice, three times and sometimes four times covered. I don't think there is any reason to try to do something really big like bring in another striker."

Liverpool will look to continue their unbeaten start to the 2018-19 Premier League season when they travel to Arsenal in Saturday's late kickoff.
