Steven Gerrard hopeful of Liverpool clinching "one or two" more signings

Steven Gerrard is hopeful that Liverpool will bring a couple of new additions to the club before the close of the transfer window.

Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard believes that "one or two" more faces could be welcomed to Anfield before the close of the transfer window.

The Merseyside outfit have acquired defender Kolo Toure, forward Iago Aspas, midfielder Luis Alberto and goalkeeper Simon Mignolet during the window so far.

Any dealings will have to be completed by manager Brendan Rodgers within the next four days, but Gerrard believes that business can still be done on Merseyside.

"The changes the manager has made during the summer are really positive and hopefully there are still one or two more players to come in," the Liverpool Echo quotes Gerrard as saying.

The Reds take on Manchester United at Anfield this Sunday with a 100% record under their belts so far this season.
