Stoke City goalkeeper Jack Butland is reportedly expected to complete a transfer to Stoke City on Friday.
The Potters have struggled to offload the England international since their relegation from the Premier League, resulting in the 27-year-old now having less than a year on his contract.
Although Liverpool have recently been linked with an approach for the stopper, the Premier League champions are said to have opted against a formal bid.
According to the Daily Mail, Butland will now link up with Palace, who are managed by his former Three Lions boss Roy Hodgson.
Despite the Eagles already having Vicente Guaita and Wayne Hennessey on their books, it is claimed that Butland is on the brink of a switch to Selhurst Park.
With the Championship outfit keen to protect the long-serving goalkeeper from sustaining any injuries, he has spent the start of the campaign on the substitutes' bench.
