Barcelona players are desperate for their club to re-sign Paris Saint-Germain attacker Neymar this summer, according to a report.

Barcelona players are reportedly desperate for the club to re-sign Paris Saint-Germain attacker Neymar during this summer's transfer window.

The 29-year-old has still not signed a new deal with PSG, and as it stands, he will be a free agent next June.

A recent report claimed that the Brazil international had paused contract talks as he wants to return to Camp Nou ahead of the 2021-22 campaign.

Neymar scored 105 goals and registered 76 assists in 186 appearances for the Catalan giants between 2013 and 2017 before making the move to the French capital.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Barca players want the club to snub moves for Liverpool's Georginio Wijnaldum and Lyon's Memphis Depay in order to concentrate on a return for Neymar.

The Brazilian has been in impressive form for the French champions during the 2020-21 campaign despite a number of injury problems, scoring 13 times and providing eight assists in 21 appearances.

PSG sporting director Leonardo recently said that contract talks with both Neymar and Kylian Mbappe were progressing.
