Barcelona 'confident of signing Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho'

Barcelona are reportedly growing increasingly confident that they will land Philippe Coutinho's signature from Liverpool this summer.

The Brazilian penned a new long-term contract at Anfield in January, but he has been regularly linked to the La Liga giants.

Recent reports in Spain have claimed that the Merseyside outfit are willing to sell for £89m after they rejected a £72m offer.

According to Sky Sports News, Barcelona believe that they will get their top target, particularly if Neymar leaves amid reports that he could join Paris Saint-Germain in a world-record deal.

The European heavyweights think that even though Coutinho is happy at Liverpool, he would struggle to reject a switch to Camp Nou this summer.

The 25-year-old, who scored 13 Premier League goals and produced seven assists last season, joined the Reds from Inter Milan in 2013.
