Team News: Two changes apiece for West Ham United, Liverpool

West Ham United and Liverpool make two changes apiece ahead of their Premier League encounter at the London Stadium on Sunday.

West Ham United and Liverpool have made two changes apiece ahead of their Premier League encounter at the London Stadium on Sunday.

The Hammers are without captain Mark Noble, who misses out with an abdominal injury, while Cheikhou Kouyate has undergone surgery on a wrist injury which has been troubling him since the Africa Cup of Nations.

Their places in the Hammers starting XI are taken by Edimilson Fernandes, his seventh Premier League start of the season, and Havard Nordtveit, his 11th league start for the club.

Liverpool, meanwhile, have named Daniel Sturridge in their starting lineup for just the sixth time in the Premier League all season, replacing Roberto Firmino, who has failed to recover from a muscular problem.

There is also a return to the side for Adam Lallana, who starts for the first time since March following a recent thigh problem; he replaces Lucas Leiva in the starting XI this afternoon as the Brazilian has struggled with a muscular problem of late.

West Ham United: Adrian, Fonte, Reid, Collins, Byram, Fernandes, Nordtveit, Cresswell, Lanzini, Ayew, Calleri
Subs: Randolph, Feghouli, Snodgrass, Ogbonna, Fletcher, Quina, Rice

Liverpool: Mignolet, Clyne, Lovren, Matip, Milner, Can, Wijnaldum, Lallana, Coutinho, Origi, Sturridge
Subs: Karius, Moreno, Grujic, Alexander-Arnold, Lucas, Klavan, Woodburn
