Team News: Rickie Lambert, Raheem Sterling start for Liverpool against Queens Park Rangers

Brendan Rodgers selects Rickie Lambert to lead the Liverpool frontline against Queens Park Rangers, with the Northern Irishman struggling for attacking options.

Brendan Rodgers has selected Rickie Lambert to lead the Liverpool frontline against Queens Park Rangers, with the Northern Irishman struggling for attacking options.

Daniel Sturridge is likely to miss the rest of the season and Mario Balotelli is out with a foot injury, leaving Lambert as the only recognised striker in the squad.

Lucas Leiva returns to the team but starts as a substitute, replacing Jon Flanagan who is out for six to nine months with a knee injury.

There is one change for QPR as Leroy Fer replaces Bobby Zamora up front, partnering the club's top goalscorer Charlie Austin.

The QPR players will wear black armbands for today's game in memory of Rio Ferdinand's wife Rebecca, who passed away after her battle with cancer.

Liverpool: Mignolet, Johnson, Lovren, Skrtel, Can, Henderson, Gerrard, Coutinho, Lallana, Sterling, Lambert
Subs: Ward, Toure, Moreno, Leiva, Markovic, Allen, Ibe

Queens Park Rangers: Green, Onuoha, Caulker, Dunne, Hill, Phillips, Sandro, Barton, Henry, Fer, Austin
Subs: Wright-Phillips, McCarthy, Yun Suk-young, Kranjcar, Hoilett, Zamora, Grego-Cox
