Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has ruled out the possibility of Alisson Becker or Fabinho playing any part in Saturday's Premier League game against Watford.
The Brazilian duo completed their international commitments in the early hours of Friday morning and would have been facing a rapid turnaround to be fit for Saturday lunchtime.
With a Champions League game against Atletico Madrid to prepare for in midweek, Klopp has confirmed that neither man will take part on Sunday as they fly to Spain ahead of the European battle.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Klopp said: "We've known it for a while. The boys will not be here, they will go directly to Madrid.
"I'm not frustrated - somebody decided to give Brazil the opportunity to play last night, then somebody made a decision for us to play at 12:30. It is out of our hands. We can't control it."
Klopp has also confirmed that Trent Alexander-Arnold and Diogo Jota are both fit for the contest, but doubts persist over the availability of Thiago Alcantara.
