Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp provides a positive update on Diogo Jota's condition ahead of his side's Premier League clash with Watford on Saturday lunchtime.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is hopeful that Diogo Jota will be in contention to face Watford on Saturday.

The Portuguese attacker was unable to represent his country during the October international break due to a muscular problem and made an early return to Liverpool this week.

The Reds were set to be sweating over Jota's fitness before their Saturday lunchtime kickoff with Watford, but Klopp has been able to issue a positive update on both him and Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Speaking to liverpoolfc.com, Klopp said: "They are all good, they are all in a good way, let me say it like this. So it looks really like Trent and Diogo will be fine, they will train with us tomorrow completely normal, that's the plan.

"Thiago needs probably a little bit longer, [he] was not in team training yet – that's always not a good sign for starting the next game. And the rest [of the] international [players], some are back, obviously some are not back yet. And we will see."

Liverpool are expected to be without Brazilian duo Alisson Becker and Fabinho for Saturday's game, though, with the pair not due to return until Friday after playing in the early hours of the morning UK time.
