Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini believes that Liverpool will be 'fighting' for the Premier League title this season.

Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini believes that Liverpool should be considered as title challengers this season.

The Premier League champions travel to Anfield to take on Brendan Rodgers's side following their 3-2 win over Southampton on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Liverpool got their campaign off to a disappointing start after conceding three goals against West Bromwich Albion.

"I think Liverpool will fight for the title this year because they play well, they bought good players, they have a good manager and they have changed their style of play," said Mancini

"They come from a game against West Bromwich where they didn't deserve to lose but football is strange. For this I think it will be a hard game."

The two sides kick off at 4pm on Sunday.
