Lucas Leiva out for six months?

Speculation suggests that Liverpool playmaker Lucas Leiva is worried that his knee injury could result in a six-month layoff.

Liverpool midfielder Lucas Leiva is believed to be concerned that his latest injury could leave him out of action for six months.

The Brazil international was stretchered off the field at Stamford Bridge during the Reds' 2-0 win over Chelsea in the Carling Cup quarter-final last night.

Multiple sources have intimated that the 24-year-old is expecting a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

The Merseyside club haven't confirmed the extent of the playmaker's injury and boss Kenny Dalglish stated that they would await results of a scan, thought to be carried out tomorrow.
