Liverpool midfielder Charlie Adam believes that the Reds are "progressing" well through the Premier League after forcing Manchester City to a draw at Anfield.
Kenny Dalglish's side were close to claiming three points against Manchester City last night, but settled for a 1-1 draw after Mario Balotelli saw red in Merseyside.
"Manchester City are a top side and have top players and we knew it would be difficult," Adam told Sky Sports News.
"But we stuck to our guns and we played well. It was great entertainment. We are progressing the way we want to progress."
Liverpool are sixth in the league table, three points behind the fourth spot.
