Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren claims that his side could have scored more than the four they managed during their 4-2 victory over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren has claimed that his side could have scored more during their 4-2 victory over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park this evening.

Emre Can, Lovren, Joel Matip and Roberto Firmino were all on the scoresheet as Liverpool kept pace with Manchester City and Arsenal at the top of the Premier League table.

Lovren's goal came soon after he had gifted Palace their first through a defensive error, but overall he was happy with the team's performance.

"It was better to clear the ball then try to play [for the Palace opening goal] but I kept my head up and the work paid off," he told BT Sport.

"All together it was a deserved win and we could have scored more goals. They are dangerous from set pieces but we have been brilliant today."

Liverpool have now scored 24 goals in the Premier League this season - the joint-highest in the division.
