Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has praised his side after they defeated league leaders Leicester City 1-0 at Anfield.
The result was settled by a solitary strike from Christian Benteke just after the hour mark, condemning the Foxes to only their second loss of the season and giving Klopp's men their first win in five attempts.
"After four games with no result, that was very important today," he told reporters. "Everybody knows of quality of Leicester and what we had to do today was play simple football.
"The first half was really good and then we had to change. Christian Benteke was not warm, it's not easy to come into the game.
"We made the goal, it was a brilliant situation where the boys showed their quality in small situations. We were never really under pressure."
Liverpool, who are now eighth in the Premier League table, next travel to struggling Sunderland on Wednesday.
