Jurgen Klopp says that Liverpool must build on their victory over Manchester City in the International Champions Cup, claiming that there were 'lots of bad moments'.

Manager Jurgen Klopp has suggested that he holds mixed feelings regarding Liverpool's 2-1 victory over Manchester City in the International Champions Cup.

Second-half goals from Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane secured the win for the Merseyside giants, although City are still missing many of their first-team squad due to the World Cup.

Klopp has said that the success in New Jersey was 'important' for the club, but hinted that it would not have too much bearing on the upcoming Premier League campaign.

The German told the club's official website: "The game for us was very important, but it is not a sign in the direction or whatever.

"It's only a game we played and a lot of good moments which we can use and a lot of bad moments we can work on. That's all."

Liverpool are next in action when they face Manchester United on Saturday night.
