Liverpool team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Wolverhampton Wanderers

Sports Mole rounds up Liverpool's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Sunday's Premier League clash with Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Liverpool will look to round off an unforgettable 2019 when they welcome Wolverhampton Wanderers to Anfield on Sunday for their final match of the year.

Jurgen Klopp's side stormed further clear at the top of the Premier League table with a thumping 4-0 win at closest challengers Leicester City on Boxing Day - their 26th win from their last 27 league games.

The Reds have also won each of their last 17 top-flight games in front of their own fans, although they will be wary of a Wolves side that has already beaten Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium this season.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Liverpool's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the contest.

Possible return date: Unknown

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain sustained ankle ligament damage during the Club World Cup final and has been ruled out of this match for sure, while a longer-term absence also seems likely.

Liverpool's defensive injury concerns could soon be eased by Joel Matip, who has only featured once since September but could be in contention for their first match of 2020.

Liverpool have been without Nathaniel Clyne for the entire season so far, and the full-back remains some way away from returning after suffering a serious knee injury in the summer.

LIVERPOOL'S SUSPENSION LIST

Liverpool have no suspensions for this match, but Trent Alexander-Arnold is one booking away from a ban heading into their final match before the threshold increases to 10.
