Jurgen Klopp: 'Liverpool will not play for Spartak Moscow draw'

Klopp: 'Liverpool can't play for draw'

Jurgen Klopp describes Liverpool's Group E meeting with Spartak Moscow as "all or nothing", with the German targeting all three points at Anfield.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has urged his players not to sit back on a draw in their crunch Champions League tie against Spartak Moscow on Wednesday night.

The Reds head into the final round of Group E matches sitting top of the standings, one point better off than Sevilla in second and a further two in front of opponents Spartak.

A point will be enough for Liverpool to progress through to the last 16, while victory may be required to come out on top of the standings as Sevilla head to winless Maribor.

Klopp has no plans to hold on for a draw, however, with all three points the target for the five-times European champions.

"All or nothing usually means you can either win or you lose," he told reporters. "We know we can draw, but this information is only useful for after the game. We cannot play for that and we do not want to. If people are nervous or not, I do not know."

Liverpool are unbeaten in their last eight matches since losing 4-1 to Tottenham Hotspur on October 22.
