Leicester are reportedly interested in signing Hellas Verona goalkeeper Lorenzo Montipo this summer.
The Foxes have failed to adequately replace Kasper Schmeichel, who left the club last summer to join Ligue 1 outfit Nice.
After spending time as a backup to the Denmark international, Danny Ward was given the opportunity to stake his claim to be Schmeichel's successor.
The Welshman played the first 26 games of the Premier League season, keeping six clean sheets before he lost his place to Daniel Iversen in March.
Iversen, who spent last season on loan at Preston North End, has started the last seven league matches, but he has been unable to record a shutout.

Leicester are expected to delve into the transfer market to sign a new goalkeeper ahead of the 2023-24 campaign.
According to Calcio Mercato, Verona number-one Montipo has emerged as a potential summer transfer target for the Foxes.
The 27-year-old has kept four clean sheets in 30 Serie A games for a Verona side that are battling to remain in the Italian top flight.
Montipo is under contract until June 2025, and the report claims that Verona's asking price will depend on whether they avoid relegation or not.

Leicester could face competition for his signature though, with Turkish giants Galatasaray believed to be showing an interest.
There is currently no indication whether Leicester would still be interested in signing the Italian if they were relegated to the Championship.
With five games to play, the Foxes are currently languishing in the Premier League relegation zone with one point separating them from safety.
Dean Smith's side will move out of the drop zone if they can pick up at least a point in Monday's away game against relegation rivals Everton.
