Jamie Vardy charged with improper conduct following reaction to sending-off

Leicester City star Jamie Vardy is charged with improper conduct by the Football Association after reacting angrily to getting sent off against West Ham United.

Leicester City star Jamie Vardy has been charged with improper conduct by the Football Association after reacting angrily to getting sent off during his side's match against West Ham United on Sunday.

The England international was given his marching orders by referee Jon Moss after receiving a second yellow card for diving in the Foxes' 2-2 draw with West Ham at the King Power Stadium.

When the red card was brandished in the 56th minute, Vardy remonstrated with the referee, pointing his finger in disgust before walking back to the changing rooms.

The striker was hit with an automatic one-match ban because of the sending-off, but could serve an additional suspension after being charged by the English governing body.

The FA has also charged Leicester with failing to control their players after West Ham were awarded a penalty in the 83rd minute.

Vardy and the player have until 6pm on April 21 to respond to the charges.
