Preview: Leeds United vs. Sheffield Wednesday

Sports Mole looks ahead to the Yorkshire derby between Leeds United and Sheffield Wednesday in the Championship at Elland Road this weekend.

Leeds United and Sheffield Wednesday will both be hoping to avoid a run of three matches without a win when they go head to head in a Yorkshire derby at Elland Road in the Championship this weekend.

The home side's form had improved under the caretaker management at Neil Redfearn, but the side are still waiting for their first victory with new manager Darko Milanic following a defeat to Brentford at the weekend and a goalless draw with Reading on Wednesday.

Gaetano Berardi will be available to return to action for Leeds, having served a two-match suspension after receiving a red card last month.

The club have reported no new injuries following their Tuesday evening outing, so Milanovic should have a full squad available for the visit of the Owls.

Meanwhile, Sheffield Wednesday head into the match following a 1-1 draw with Ipswich Town earlier this week, which has left them ninth in the table.

The team are without a win in their last two league outings, and have lost their last three in all competitions, having been thrashed 7-0 by Manchester City last week.

Kamil Zayatte us likely to miss this weekend's match, having limped out of their draw with Ipswich earlier this week inside the opening 40 minutes, with Stuart Gray admitting that he is not sure how long the defender will be out.

However, Tom Lees is in line for a return after stepping up his participation in training after picking up a hamstring injury last month, while Sam Hutchinson and Kieran Lee could also be involved.

When the sides met at Elland Road last season, the teams shared a 1-1 draw, but the most recent meeting between the two clubs ended in a 6-0 win for Wednesday.
