Ipswich Town have reportedly contacted Simon Grayson regarding the managerial vacancy at Portman Road.
The 48-year-old is currently out of work after leaving Bradford City at the end of the season upon the expiry of his short-term contract at Valley Parade.
Prior to the Bradford job, Grayson was handed the reins at Sunderland ahead of the 2017-18 campaign, but lasted just four months at the helm.
According to the Ipswich Star, the Blues and Grayson have spoken regarding the position vacated by Mick McCarthy in April.
The report claims that there has been an expression of interest from both sides, but no formal interview has taken place or been agreed.
Grayson has also managed at Preston North End, Huddersfield Town, Leeds United and Blackpool.
