Inverness Caledonian Thistle boss Terry Butcher has warned interested suitors that Billy McKay would "cost a lot of money".
The 24-year-old scored 27 times for the Scottish outfit last season after joining from Northampton Town, with his form said to be generating interest from across Europe.
Butcher told The Scotsman: "[Billy] is much admired by other managers in the league but it would take a really special fee to get him. Billy is almost the perfect attacker and he will cost a lot of money."
McKay has already hit the net nine terms this term.
