The visitors shocked the Groupama Arena home crowd by taking the lead in the 11th minute through Roaldur Jacobsen, who collected Joan Simun Edmundsson's ball before slotting underneath Gabor Kiraly down the centre of goal.
Lars Olsen's charges held on to the lead until the break, but Bode was on hand to head Hungary back into contention following Tamas Kadar's cross in the 63rd minute.
Just eight minutes later the Ferencvarosi TC forward edged the hosts in front with ehat turned out to be the winner, as he got onto the end of Nemanja Nikolic's ball and rifled into the top corner.
The result keeps Hungary in the running for a place at Euro 2016 as they sit third in Group F, while the Faroes remain fifth and out of contention.
