Guingamp, Monaco play out six-goal thriller

Nicolas Benezet scores twice, including a late leveller, as Guingamp come from behind on three occasions to draw 3-3 with Monaco in their Ligue 1 clash.

Guingamp came from behind on three separate occasions to secure a point in an entertaining 3-3 draw with AS Monaco in Ligue 1 on Sunday.

An end-to-end first 45 minutes brought six attempts on target and three goals, with Monaco entering the break 2-1 ahead.

It was Bernardo Silva that opened the scoring in the 14th minute, with the Portuguese collecting a pass from Nabil Dirar before finishing past Jonas Lossl.

Guingamp were level 16 minutes later, however, when Sloan Privat converted after good work from Nicolas Benezet. It appeared that the two teams would be entering the break on level terms, but Andrea Raggi's 45th-minute effort sent Monaco into the lead.

Benezet then got his name on the scoresheet for the hosts in the 65th minute, but Monaco regained the lead 20 minutes from time through Dirar.

It appeared that the visitors were heading for all three points, but Benezet's second of the match in the 89th minute secured Guingamp a point as Monaco missed the chance to move into seventh position in the table.
