Joachim Low will remain in charge of Germany despite the reigning world champions exiting the 2018 World Cup in the group stages, according to a report.

Die Mannschaft failed to progress past the group stage of a World Cup for the first time since 1938 as they collected just three points from their three fixtures in Group F.

The president of the German Football Association, Reinhard Grindel, insisted before Germany's 2-0 defeat to South Korea last week that Low's position with the national team was safe regardless of what happened in Russia.

Low signed a new contract with Germany until 2022 before the start of this year's World Cup, and according to Sky Sports News, the national team have no plans to sack the 58-year-old.

Germany will be back in action in September as they start their qualification campaign for Euro 2020.
