Joachim Low admits to Germany concerns

Germany manager Joachim Low says that he is concerned with the form and fitness of his side ahead of this summer's World Cup.

Germany manager Joachim Low has admitted that he is concerned with the form and fitness of his side ahead of this summer's World Cup.

The Germans are considered among the favourites to win the tournament in Brazil, but Low is worried that many of his key players have lacked playing time in recent months.

"On paper, we have a top team with top quality and top individuals, but the reality looks a little different," he told reporters.

"The truth is not so nice because many of our players have been injured for a long time and don't have much rhythm, be it due to a dip in form or niggling injuries, which is why we need to use these next two and a half months to improve and do everything to reach top form."

Germany have won the World Cup three times in their history, with their last success coming in 1990.
