Sascha Riether leaves Fulham for Freiburg

Fulham announce the departure of Sascha Riether, who returns to Germany to join Freiburg in the Bundesliga.

Relegated Fulham have confirmed that right-back Sascha Riether has agreed a move to return to Germany by signing for Bundesliga club Freiburg.

Riether initially arrived at Fulham on loan two seasons ago before making the switch permanent last summer, but he has now become the latest in a long line of players to leave the West London club following their relegation.

The fee for Riether's return to Germany has not been disclosed by Fulham, and the move has happened just a day after the Whites agreed to sign free agent Tim Hoogland.

Riether made 72 appearances in his two seasons in London.
