Four Premier League clubs eye George Thorne?

Everton are reportedly one of four Premier League clubs that are keen to sign Derby County midfielder George Thorne in January.

Derby County could reportedly receive a host of bids for the services of midfielder George Thorne during next month's transfer window.

The 22-year-old is said to have impressed this season, having appeared in 19 of Derby's 23 Championship matches.

According to The Mirror, his displays have captured the attention of Everton manager Roberto Martinez, who has identified Thorne as a potential long-term replacement for veteran Gareth Barry.

However, the report adds that Everton may face competition from Norwich City, Crystal Palace and Newcastle United.

Thorne joined the Rams from West Bromwich Albion for £3.2m in the summer of 2014.
