Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew frustrated with refereeing decisions

Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew admits that he was frustrated with the decisions of referee Craig Pawson to deny his side two penalties against Everton.

Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew has bemoaned decisions made by referee Craig Pawson in his side's 1-1 draw against Everton at Goodison Park.

The 54-year-old believes that his side were denied two penalties as Miles Jedinak saw his shirt pulled by Gareth Barry and later in the match Jordon Mutch was brought down in the box by Ramiro Funes Mori, with both incidents being dismissed by Pawson.

Pardew has claimed that Palace may have won the match had the decisions gone in their favour, but has conceded that his side may not always receive the benefit of the calls.

He told Sky Sports News: "Tonight we have played a team in top form and we still almost won. But for a couple of refereeing decisions that, in my view, they have got wrong, we could have won it.

"I think it was obvious from where I was standing that [Jedinak's] shirt was being pulled but the referee and linesman didn't see it, which I'm surprised at.

"The second one was 12 yards from the linesman and I don't think he plays the ball at all and if he can't see that, then there is a problem. But they are swings and roundabout decisions; we accept they don't always go our way because that is part and parcel of the game."

Scott Dann put Palace ahead in the contest only for Romelu Lukaku to earn Everton a share of the spoils to leave the Eagles in sixth place in the Premier League.
