Everton target Oscar Cardozo

Everton are said to be interested in signing Benfica forward Oscar Cardozo, but the Toffees must first raise funds for his arrival.

Everton are reportedly considering making a bid for Benfica forward Oscar Cardozo.

The 29-year-old Paraguay international scored 20 goals in 29 Portuguese La Liga appearances last season.

However, the Lisbon side are said to be willing to sell him for £12m.

Toffees manager David Moyes is very interested in bringing Cardozo to Goodison Park, according to Portuguese newspaper O Jogo.

However, it is understood that Moyes must first reduce the club's wage bill before attempting to pull off such an ambitious move.

It is believed that the sale of Marouane Fellaini, Phil Jagielka or Leighton Baines would make Cardozo an affordable proposition.
