Everton reportedly line up Sunderland's Kieran Richardson as Leighton Baines's possible replacement.

Everton are reportedly considering a bid for Sunderland's Kieran Richardson if defender Leighton Baines decides to leave the club.

The Toffees are believed to have begun talks with Manchester United over the possible sale of the England international.

It is understood that if a deal, thought to be in the region of £12m, does come to fruition, David Moyes will try to lure £4m-rated Richardson from the Stadium of Light, according to The Mirror.

The Black Cats player, who is able to play as a left-back or in midfield, is believed to have also attracted interest from former club West Ham United.
