Everton boss Roberto Martinez hopeful over Seamus Coleman fitness

Everton boss Roberto Martinez is hopeful that Seamus Coleman will be fit to return to his side soon after he missed his fourth match with a hamstring injury.

Everton boss Roberto Martinez has revealed that he is hopeful to have Seamus Coleman fit again in the near future.

The 26-year-old has not played since his side's win over Chelsea on September 12 because of a hamstring injury, and he failed a late fitness test ahead of the Merseyside derby.

Coleman is now a doubt to play in the Republic of Ireland's Euro 2016 qualifying matches against Germany and Poland next week.

Martinez told the club's official website: "Seamus was desperate to play today, he's desperate to play for Ireland. Medically he wasn't fit today - we hope to get him on the pitch soon."

Coleman has made five appearances for the Toffees this season.
