Team News: John Stones, Seamus Coleman miss out for Everton in Merseyside derby

Everton defenders John Stones and Seamus Coleman miss the Merseyside derby against Liverpool due to injury.

Everton defenders John Stones and Seamus Coleman have failed late fitness tests and have been ruled out of Merseyside derby against Liverpool at Goodison Park this afternoon.

The England international continues to be sidelined with a knee injury, while Coleman misses out due to a hamstring problem.

Youngster Tyias Browning takes the Republic of Ireland international's place at right-back, while Ramiro Funes Mori plays in the heart of the defence for the Toffees alongside Phil Jagielka as Roberto Martinez keeps the same side that beat West Bromwich Albion on Monday.

Liverpool are unchanged from their last Premier League outing when they defeated Aston Villa 3-2 at Anfield. Jordan Henderson, Roberto Firmino and Dejan Lovren continue to spend time on the sidelines with long-term injuries.

Emre Can, Mamadou Sakho and Martin Skrtel make up the back three for the visitors, with Nathaniel Clyne and Alberto Moreno operating as wing-backs.

Lucas Leiva, Philippe Coutinho and captain James Milner make up the midfield trio, while Danny Ings and Daniel Sturridge lead the line, with the 26-year-old fresh of his two-goal display against the Villans last week.

Everton: Howard; Galloway, Funes Mori, Jagielka, Browning; Barry, McCarthy; Naismith, Barkley, Deulofeu; Lukaku
Subs: Robles, Gibson, Oviedo, Kone, Lennon, Osman, Holgate

Liverpool: Mignolet; Can, Skrtel, Sakho; Clyne, Lucas, Milner, Coutinho, Moreno; Ings, Sturridge
