Steve McClaren has reportedly emerged as a candidate to become the next England Under-21 manager.
The former Three Lions manager has been interviewed for the post by Club England alongside Rene Meulensteen and Gareth Southgate, according to The Telegraph.
The FA have compiled a nine-man shortlist with former Blackpool and Blackburn Rovers boss Michael Appleton also understood to have been interviewed.
McClaren is currently working as a coach for Queens Park Rangers, but the FA are expected to announce their decision later this week.
