Leicester City full-back Danny Simpson has allegedly questioned his absence from Gareth Southgate's maiden England squad.
Southgate announced his 23-man party on Sunday for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Malta and Slovenia, with Stoke City's Glen Johnson being handed a surprise recall after more than two years in the international wilderness.
Johnson has since been forced to pull out of the squad through injury, with Burnley's Michael Keane brought in as a replacement ahead of Simpson, who was once again overlooked.
Following the snub, Simpson took to Twitter with a message that seemed to be aimed at his absence from the squad.
Can't do anymore lol
