England backing anti-racism campaign

England will wear anti-racism wrist bands tomorrow, while captain John Terry urges supporters to respect the national anthems.

England players will wear anti-racism wrist bands during tomorrow evening's Euro 2012 qualifier against Wales at Wembley Stadium.

The Three Lions' black players were subjected to abusive chants during Friday's 3-0 victory away in Bulgaria, prompting the Football Association to lodge a complaint with Uefa.

Prior to the Wales clash, England captain John Terry has backed the Kick It Out campaign, while also encouraging both sets of supporters to respect each other's national anthems.

"That's our message, to get it out there and showing we're behind the campaign," Terry told reporters.

"We were disappointed with [the chanting]. We must respect each other, during the national anthems as well.

"It's important England fans respect the Welsh national anthem and vice-versa. I think we're very good like that in this country."

The FA have confirmed that they expect 75,000 fans at Wembley for the match.
