Team News: Saido Berahino starts for West Bromwich Albion

Saido Berahino is in the West Bromwich Albion starting XI for the trip to Crystal Palace.

Saido Berahino has been named in the West Bromwich Albion starting XI for the trip to Crystal Palace this afternoon.

For the second successive summer, the striker has been linked with a move away from The Hawthorns but is selected to start up front alongside Salomon Rondon by manager Tony Pulis.

Pulis's only signing from the transfer window, winger Matt Phillips, earns his debut alongside Claudio Yacob, Darren Fletcher and Craig Gardner.

For Alan Pardew's Palace, new signing Andros Townsend makes his debut as support for loan striker Connor Wickham.

Fellow arrival James Tomkins plays no part in the fixture after picking up a hamstring injury, while the game has come too soon for keeper Steve Mandanda, who is still working on his fitness after France's Euro 2016 campaign.

Meanwhile, Yannick Bolasie is named among the substitutes amid rumoured interest from Everton.

Crystal Palace: Hennessey; Ward, Dann, Delaney, Souare; Jedinak, Puncheon; Zaha, Lee, Townsend; Wickham
Subs: Speroni, Kelly, Ledley, Cabaye, Bolasie, Ladapo, Anderson

West Bromwich Albion: Foster; Dawson, McAuley, Olsson, Evans; Gardner, Fletcher, Yacob, Phillips; Rondon, Berahino
Subs: Myhill; Morrison, McClean, Lambert, Leko, Field, Wilson
